I miss my grandma the way she sung out of key
I miss my step dad the way that he used be
I miss my friend Shuan who hung himself when he was 21 and I was 18
My sister Sadie her heart stopped quick
I miss my friend Cory he put a gun to his lips
I miss my friend Steven heroin took away him
Then there’s Jonathan, teen suicide
And trauma keeps coming up
Whenever it decides

I’m fine, still awake, head above shoulders
Hoping that I’ll eventually get over
This grief, I share might change somebody’s day,
to maybe feel okay, maybe just enough
To reconsider quitting life, to not give up

My head hurts wanna stop it
Tears drip from eye sockets
like rain droplets
Friends comfort me
With flower pedal softness
Manically Grieving
They say healing is a process

When lost without direction
Use compassion as a compass
